We’ve been waiting a long time for the full-length SK8MAFIA video! Here at SK8MALL.COM, we have confirmed that the Sk8mafia video premiere is at The Vine theater in Los Angeles on October 14th.

Did you notice no mention of Nick Tucker anywhere in the video, as that cat recently left the SK8MAFIA building for supposed greener pastures. To quote Nick, someone “made him an offer he couldn’t refuse”. He’s since been seen riding Plan B decks. Are we the only ones who see the irony in him quitting a company that name ends in ‘mafia’ with ‘an offer he couldn’t refuse’ line? Doesn’t seem very gangsta, Nicky. Nevertheless, the video will surely be full of bangers as the rest of the crew are all about super raw skateboarding.

After watching the trailer we are left with one question: Will Peter Smolik have a full part? His name wasn’t even mentioned in the trailer… It would be very disappointing if the SK8MAFIA video actually premiers without a full fledged Ol’ Dirty Smolik part. Hopefully he is just being mysterious and comes out swinging when the video actually drops.

Every year the KOTR / King of the Road is one of our favorite sections of Thrasher simply because it shows so many new spots and crazy challenges. Well, this year, Lakai beat Nike SB, Dekline, and Vans to become the 2011 King of the Road Champion! Andrew Reynolds was the top-scoring mystery guest, while Gilbert Crocket took home the MVP with over 1200 points earned by himself. No doubt that when the 2011 KOTR video clips come out, there will be no shortage of bangers and comedic moments of gnar.

Announced in the upcoming November 2011 TransWorld Skateboarding magazine (and cover blasting a huge frontside 360 bump to bar), and just in time for the new SK8MAFIA video to drop, Wes is finally taking the much-deserved step from killer AM to killer PRO!

At the NATV premier in Hollywood, we were stoked to see Wes just killing his ending part. He completely crushed it and we all knew it was just a matter of time before SK8MAFIA ‘made’ him Pro. Here at SK8MALL.COM we assumed he would be going pro that same night along with Nestor Judkins and Theotis Beasley…and for a minute there we were a little confused. Confusion cleared up.
